The Art of Psychological Warfare

The oligarchy, the elite, the ruling class, call them whatever you will, but know that they are the puppet masters. They're very good at controlling the masses, and they've been perfecting the methods by which they do this for many years. This post is going to cover the most valuable tool that the elite have at their disposal. It's known by many names; public relations, propaganda, mass psychology, shock and awe. I think a more accurate description of what they do to us is psychological warfare. After all, the tactics they use all have analogous applications on the battle field. Understanding these tactics is the only way to avoid falling victim to them, and thus countering them.

Everyone's heard of “divide and conquer.” As long as the elite can keep the people fighting amongst themselves and blaming each other for all of the worlds problems, they don't have to worry about us coming to our senses and realizing who the bad guys really are. The most obvious (and most successful) example of this is the false left-right paradigm. Politics is truly a charade provided to the population for the express purpose of manipulation. This is their first line of defense, and it utilizes a primitive psychological bias that all of us have. To quote Alan Watt “We're all tribal to a certain extent, you see. This is well understood. That's why these tribal leaders are provided for us.” The truth is both parties are completely subservient to the oligarchy. If you look at what these people do rather than what they say, it becomes obvious that they serve the same masters. However they have successfully divided the population into these two political parties that have been programmed to blame each other for everything they perceive to be wrong with the country, rather than looking for the real source of power and influence behind the two parties.

Sometimes, rather than have the population fighting amongst themselves, it is more useful for the elite to have us unite and rally behind their cause, even if that cause is detrimental to our own well-being. The tactic employed for this purpose is the Hegelian Dialectic (aka Problem, Reaction, Solution). A crises is artificially created or allowed to develop (problem), the public demands a solution to the perceived problem or threat (reaction), and a solution is provided by the very people who caused the problem in the first place (solution). The public is often so scared, desperate or confused that they go along with whatever solution is provided by their tribal leaders. Often the solution takes freedoms and rights away from the population and gives more power and control to those in charge. Whenever the public is calling for war, higher taxes (on any income bracket), or more government regulation, you may know that they have fallen victim to this tactic.

The most famous example of the Hegelian Dialectic being used on a global scale is the September 11th “terrorist” attack. Factions within the US government, NorthCom, the CIA, and the military-industrial complex aided and abetted Islamic fundamentalists patsies (recruited by a long-time CIA asset) in hijacking and flying planes into three symbolically important buildings. Two of those buildings were demolished after the impacts for added psychological effect. Within 45 minutes of the demolitions, the attacks are blamed on the CIA asset who recruited the patsies, thus creating the “problem” in the form of a new enemy. Now it's time for the reaction. Well America has just been attacked, the “attackers” have been identified, so naturally the reaction is fear and anger. “Let's go get them sons of bitches and make sure this never happens again!” Of course, they turned to the very people who created the problem for the solution. The “solution,” described in the broadest sense, was the complete abolition of the Bill of Rights (the Patriot Act), the creation of a police state control grid (the Department of Homeland Security), and endless wars against a vaguely defined and impossible-to-defeat enemy who could be hiding anywhere on the planet. If you are trying to create a tyrannical one-world government where everyone is monitored 24/7, and where anyone who opposes you or steps out of line can be killed or imprisoned indefinitely (gotta get them terrorists), then 9/11 is your wildest dream come true.

However they can't fool everyone with these theatrics, and eventually people will start to figure out what's really going on behind the curtains. They can't just kill those people or throw them in prison, at least not yet. Acting directly against individuals who expose their lies will actually give publicity and credibility to what they are saying. Fortunately for the elite, they have a very effective method for dealing with people who are starting to “wake up.” This tactic is known as Controlled Opposition, and it is arguably the most important tactic for those involved in the #OCCUPY[INSERTPLACEHERE] movement to understand and familiarize themselves with. Vladimir Lenin summed it up perfectly, “The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves.” If you know that you're going to have a certain number of dissidents in a given society, you can simply insert your own “leaders” into that opposition movement and channel that anger and discontent into non-disruptive outlets. You can then keep tabs on the movement and front-run any actions they might take, gather intelligence on the individuals involved, plant counter-intelligence and disinformation, and generally render the movement completely impotent.

Now let's take a look at how this strategy is being used specifically against the #OCCUPY movement. Remember, the oligarchs consist of investment bankers and international financiers. Their business is the primary means by which they control the government (lobbyists, campaign contributions, revolving door), and the government is the tool by which they control the population. Therefor their business is the most important thing to protect from any opposition movement, even if they have to throw a few of their government puppets under the bus to appease the masses. If they can get the movement to demand government solutions (more regulations, taxing the rich, free health care, etc...) they've won. We're supposed to follow our leaders. We've been trained to do so from birth. They need us to demand solutions from our leaders, even if those solutions appear to be detrimental to their business and beneficial to the people, because when we do this we're still playing by their rules. Even if we vote out the current crop of politicians and vote in new ones, we're still playing by their rules. What they absolutely do not want is for the people to circumvent the government and take action directly against the banks.

Other actions they employ involve provoking violence. So far, they've been relatively unsuccessful at this despite repeated attempts. However if they are successful at instigating violence or riots in areas where protesters are gathered, they will have all the excuse they need to crack down on gatherings of any sort and further restrict our few remaining freedoms. Basically, violence would provide them with the “problem” of the Hegelian Dialectic. In the absence of violence, they will take general impotence as a substitute. From what I've seen, their preferred method of making sure that nothing ever gets done is this ridiculous “consensus” model they've managed to impose on the movement. When it takes 5 hours to decide on sleeping bags, you may know that your organization is impotent. As long as they can render the decision-making process utterly incapable of making any important decisions or agreeing to any solid demands, they have little to fear.

So now the immediate concern is to identify and remove the agents who have infiltrated the movement on behalf of the oligarchy. Now that we understand how controlled opposition works, we can identify these agents by their actions and motivations. They will vehemently defend the consensus model and oppose any attempts to streamline the decision-making process. They will advocate government-imposed solutions to the economic problems, and they will oppose and ridicule anyone who attempts to educate people on how to fight the banks directly. Controlling a movement such as this relies on suppression of information. Knowledge is power, and in this case it is the power to bring down the parasitic banking cartel that has hijacked the global economy and system(s) of government. These guys are very powerful, but they have glaring weaknesses that we can exploit if we can just get this information out there. In my next post, I will go over how the global financial system actually works and explain the tactics that we can use to bring down the oligarchs. We have to break their power and de-throne the puppet masters before anything can change.

This beast cannot be tamed, and it cannot be negotiated with. It must be destroyed.
